Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Demonstrates strong knowledge of GAAP and understanding of internal controls
Assists in month-end close process
Prepares journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepares quarter-end and year-end audit schedules
Prepares detailed account and unit-level analysis, identifying trends or unusual activity; displays the ability to research and resolve outliers effectively
Prepares period-over-period, quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year trend analysis and variance explanations
Prepares ad-hoc reporting and participates in projects as assigned by management
Review and prepare monthly rent statements, account reconciliations, and annual CAM/INS/Property Tax reconciliations
Looks to add value through analyses with business recommendations and through a continuous process improvement mindset; seeks to challenge the status quo
Partners well with internal customers, co-workers, and management and displays an overall dedication to the team
Continuously develops technical skills in order to leverage systems for process improvements

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting -or- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting -or- Any Bachelor’s Degree with a Certificate of Accountancy or Master of Accountancy

2-5 years accounting experience; some lease accounting experience is preferred
Proficiency in various computer software products, such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Workday and Tango Analytics is a plus

Paid Time Off Program: Full-time team members receive at least 20 days per calendar year for sick and personal time off, based on years of service. The pools of these days off may vary based on states. Personal time off days are prorated based on date of hire for all new team members.
Paid Holidays: All full-time and part-time will be compensated at their regular base pay for eleven (11) company chosen holidays to the extent the holiday falls on your regularly scheduled workday. Responsibilities
Monthly reconciliations of bank accounts
Quarterly reconciliations of the balance sheets of various properties
Assist in the A/P process by reviewing invoices.
Assist in the recording of receipts.
Assist with property tax, insurance and interest calculations and entries.
Assist with the compilation of financial reports presented monthly to property management staff.
Assist with the compilation of year-end tax packages.
Support the Controller and Senior Accountant with various tasks as assigned.
Experience and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Payroll Administrator This is a client position
What you will do:
Our Payroll Administrator is responsible for preparing and processing bi-weekly payroll, setting up and managing state withholding accounts, and managing benefit deductions and reconciliations, processing payroll related journal entries and other business transactions related to payroll and benefits. Primary responsibilities include:
Prepare and process biweekly payroll.
Enter payroll journal entry into accounting software.
Reconcile bank transactions and payroll journal entries.
Enter payroll related bank transactions into accounting software.
Enter benefit, 401K, HSA journal entries into accounting software.
Reconcile and enter benefit, 401K, HSA bank transactions to the benefit journal entry into accounting software.
Conducting benefit deduction audits.
Prepare open enrollment deduction in advance reconciliation.
Prepare accrued PTO liability journal entries.
Prepare accrued bonus and commission journal entries.
Reconcile accrued bonus and commission entries quarterly.
Review and complete payroll tax notifications.
Prepare accrued payroll journal entry at year end.
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Review and finalize year end or quarter end reporting.
Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
Assist with other accounting related duties as assigned.
What you will need to succeed:
At least 3 years full payroll administration experience with at least 1 year of experience using ADP WFN.
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures including experience reconciling payroll related balance sheets.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
High attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
Data entry and word processing skills.
Well organized.
Associate degree or equivalent experience, bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
